recently built in the baroque style, based on several local organ designs from the period, including the organ that formerly stood here when the composer Diedrick Buxtehude succeeded his father as organist at Sankta Maria in 1658.

This requiem starts fairly quietly. Set your volume so the loud parts aren’t distorted.
